4. Parties or Trick-or-Treating?
I actually went trick-or-treating until sometime in High School… honestly I went out until my littlest sister had friends enough nearby to just go with them. I love seeing how everyone decorates, and watching people try to out-scare each other… it’s a not so secret truth of mine, I love it. The fear and excitement.
As for parties… eh… I’ve actually never gone to a Halloween party that I enjoyed. And I’ve been to some nifty ones, and helped host some nifty ones. But in the end I’d rather drink with a handful of folks and watch horror movies and eat candy than go out and be surrounded by a bunch of dumbass strangers getting smashed.
So in brief, trick-or-treating. Or decorate and pass out candy.
14. Do you decorate your home for Halloween?
Of course!
We sorta live off the beaten path at the moment… So we don’t really decorate outside… Unless my occasional stealth altars and offering arrangements count… but we always decorate inside, at least a little. And every year I make the Giant take me out to the big pumpkin patches and I walk the rows and become a child again… we used to go to the mazes too, but I’m not really mobile enough for that anymore.
But yes! Decorating! Pumpkins! Jack-o-lanterns! Spiders! Altars! Stuff…. the whole nine, so to speak… or as close as the Giant will allow. ;)
16. Got a favorite spooky tune?
A favorite? Shit… Well I kinda just love them all. I’ve been digging the KCK mixes since last year - oh yea, it’s year round with the Halloween music in my house.
One of my personal favorites, that’s always on the mixes is, of course, Lil’ Red Riding Hood… Werewolves of London’s always been one I liked… Uhm… Monster Mash is a fun one… I just, I love them all. I really do.
New favorites include the Man with the Hex and Alligator Wine… again thanks to the KCK mixes put together by Snaggle-Teeth here on Tumblr.
